One of the famous sightseeing spots in Japan is a temple located in Asakusa called "Sensoji". The beautiful wooden architecture covered in red-orangish color is highly photogenic and the unique atmosphere gives you the sense of the good old days in Japan.

There are many theories behind to why red-orangish color was often used at temples and shrines, but one of the theories is that in ancient Japan, people believed that the color acts as blockage or obstruction to magical powers and evil spirits. Therefore, despite the different religion, the same red-orangish color was frequently used.
